Our Story
On June 11, 2023, Gary first laid eyes on Shaquana at the First Love event space in Newington, Connecticut. He was there as the photographer for a baby shower, and little did Shaquana know that her life was about to change in a way she never expected. Throughout the evening, Gary quietly observed her grace and composure as she served others, trying to be a good friend.
Nervous but determined, Gary texted a friend for advice and was encouraged to take a chance. With trembling hands and a racing heart, he approached her and said, “You are the most beautiful woman in the room.” At that moment, it was as if time stood still. Shaquana entered her number into his phone, and from that moment, something magical began.
They spent the next year building a solid foundation of friendship, focused on shared core values and intentional growth. Exactly one year later, on June 11, 2024, Gary asked Shaquana to be his wife, knowing they were meant to spend their lives together.
The significance of the number 11 appeared again: 11 + 11 = 22, leading them to their wedding date—November 22, 2024. They are excited to honor God and their love as they embark on this beautiful journey as husband and wife.

11:00 PM – Farewell Send-Off
We’ll have a special send-off to end the night!

If you choose to stay at the inn, we’re excited to offer a 15% discount on your accommodations. Please note that this discount is only available to our wedding guests who use the direct booking link provided on our website. Unfortunately, bookings made through third-party sites won’t qualify for the discount. Once you book, kindly let us know, and we’ll ensure the discount is applied. We kindly ask all guests to adhere to our strict black-tie ball gown dress code for our wedding. This is an essential part of the day, and we appreciate your cooperation in ensuring everyone looks cohesive and elegant. Please ensure that ALL clothing is entirely black.

We are blessed to be joining our lives together as one. Though we have each traveled our own paths, God’s grace has brought us together in love.
